Proverbs 15:3 AMPC
The eyes of the Lord are in every place, keeping watch upon the evil and the good.
This morning the view of frosty rooftops meets my eye as I sit in my office and ponder on this verse. The sun is just making its presence known as I glance down the street. God is giving me a new day.
I am grateful to Abba for the opportunity to bless the ones I meet or talk to today, and am encouraged by the words I read:
The eyes of the Lord are in every place, keeping watch upon the evil and the good.
There is so much darkness in this world, spiritual darkness, and I am comforted by these words. Absolutely nothing escapes His eye. NOTHING! He sees it all and will act accordingly at the perfect time.
His timing may seem too late for us. Things may seem completely unsalvageable, but then Holy Spirit gently brings to mind the story of Lazarus, dead 4 days, already decaying and smelly.
Jesus is completely unperturbed by what He sees, feels, and hears, and tells Martha she will see the glory of God if she believes.
Dear One, God is looking for faith in these days, the certainty of His goodness and His care. As children of the King of kings, you can be confident of the goodness and care of our Father God. All you have to do is ask Him to do what only He can do in a situation and believe He will act. At the perfect time and in the perfect way His glory will be shown while you display your faith in Him by speaking what He says about a situation.
The Word of God is a powerful weapon, a 2-edged sword, sharper than anything else in this world, as it even cuts between soul and spirit, (Hebrews 4:12) but it does nothing if you do not use it. You use it by speaking it, as Jesus did when He was tempted – “… it is written …” (Matthew 4). If you do not know what the Bible says, you cannot speak it. If you do not know the Word of God, then your Bible is not a sword. It is simply a book.
It is imperative for you to meditate on the Word of God, for this sharpens the Word into a 2-edged sword. I implore you get into the daily habit of meditating on the Word of God and memorizing it. This will show the devil the allegiance of your heart: Jesus, the Way, the Truth, the Life. In Him alone do we have hope of redemption.
You can also be assured then, His eyes are not simply watching all the happenings in the world, but they will be looking for you, for me!
2 Chronicles 16:9a NKJV
For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him.”
Be encouraged Dear One, take time to get to know your God who longs to have deep, close fellowship with you. Know and love Him as well as allow Him to know and love you. Then you can be sure His eyes are watching you and you are protected with His truth, which shall be like a shield and buckler to you (Psalm 91:4).
Blessings of faith to you
